blestmomof4
I was flipping through channel and saw and interesting show on the BYU channel about cooking with a dutch oven. The next program that came on is Living Essentuals and Peggy Layton is on discussing dehydrating foods and the differences between dehydrating and freeze drying, etc. She is covering SO MANY different things. IT'S GREAT!!!!!! LINK:http://www.byub.org/livingessentials/shows/episode.asp?ep=139 b.b Link to comment

Violet
I want to try the spaghetti seasoning. I tried one for a taco seasoning that is good. So much cheaper than the packages. My major concern with the site, though, is with the jerky recipes. Oil is not safe to marinate the meat in. I am not sure the other one is safe, either. I know the salt amount is critical in making jerky. I don't know the sodium content in soy sauce, which is normally used in the marinades, not just salt. Link to comment
