Fritz_Monroe
We were placing an order at Atlantic Spice Company the other night. We needed one more thing to reach the $30 minimum order, so we ordered pickling spice. I think that this was a dumb move because I have no idea what to use it in. What can I use this for? Our thinking was that we are having a pretty good harvest from our container garden and we would like to make some pickles, but I have no ideas about what to use it in. So, anyone have any suggestions for using pickling spice? Oh yea, one more question. What's the difference between slicing and pickling cukes? If I ws to guess, I'd say that slicing cukes get bigger. Ambergris
pickling cukes are sometimes spiny, and tend to be rounder/shorter http://www.akiskitchen.ca/ingredients/pick...g_spices_1.html Link to comment
