But, it seems to be the opinion that you should not can soup with noodles or rice. What I do is make my chicken n noodle and chicken n rice soup up omitting the rice and noodles and add those when I get ready to eat soup. It really doesn't take that much longer to add those and cook them or cook them and add them....lol....your choice. JMO Where Violet when you need her???? LOL! Link to comment

Violet Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 I was at the beach ! Nothing with flour is safe to can, so that would include noodles. I agree, can the chicken and any veggies in there if you want them. Then, open the jar, heat and add the noodles then. Link to comment
