Home Made Chicken Noodle Soup with veggies added

Some home made crusty italian bread warm from the oven with butter.

Strawberry Sugar free Jello with mixed fresh fruit added.

Chocolate Chip and Walnut Cookies

 

Total Cost per Person per plate: .77 cents per servings

UMMM! Sounds good!

 

I took some boneless chicken breasts out of the freezer, and I think I'll make "chicken fingers" out of them. The kids LOVE those... battered & fried like Long John Silvers' does them.

 

Since those are so greasy, I'll have to make the rest of it really healthy, so I'll be making some kind of veggies. I have several things to choose from.

 

This is when I make a veggie they don't like quite as much, because they don't get more chicken unless the veggies are *gone*.

 

DH's birthday is tomorrow, so I'll be making him the shrimp I hid away in the freezer a couple of weeks ago. I don't buy shrimp or boneless chicken unless they're having a GREAT sale.

I made a huge hearty pot of pea soup from a ham bone i froze "whenever"....used split and whole peas.....didn't cost but maybe a dollar.....cheeeeeeap.

crusty bread...

yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.
