CrabGrassAcres
1/2 cup tapioca pearls, soak in 2 cups water or milk for 15 min then cook in double boiler till pearls are clear. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar (or more if you like), 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 cups egg yolks, 4 cups milk. Cook, stirring occasionally, over double boiler till thickens. Remove from heat and let cool in sink of cold water, stirring occasionally. Serve or freeze in disposable cups. Mix the whites with a bit of sugar or salt and freeze separately or cook up for the dogs. Link to comment

Mt_Rider
Thanks! What caught my eye is that you successfully freeze this. My mom makes tapioca for my dad but he can't ever finish it all. [if DH & I were there to help, it would be gone! ] So mebbe this will be a very good idea for them too. MtRider [..even have some milk that needs to be used up right now! ] Link to comment
