mimi
We all know that in an emergency we can open a can of tuna and eat it but I am wondering if anybody has actual decent recipes for real meals that don't require cooking where all of the ingredients come out of cans etc and none of the ingredients are fresh? Absolutely no cooking involved and still fairly good meals. Something decent to eat while a person is locating and setting up wihatever backup systems you might have. Link to comment
Canned Nerd
Actually any canned food, commercially or home-canned (if you trust you did it right), can be eaten directly without heating it first. They are especially important because they also contain much needed liquid. My favorite is VanCamp's Pork n Beans which are cheap and I don't have to wait for a disaster to eat right out of the can. Ambergris
My whole family loves the canned Boston brown bread. Practically anything becomes a meal when eaten with thick slabs of dense bread. Link to comment
