YYY
Hi Everybody Several weeks ago, I read a tip on another board. I’ve been using this tip ever since. I just had to pass it on to y’all. Instead of using regular dishwasher detergent in the dishwasher, put a SMALL squirt of liquid dishwashing liquid (ABOUT THE SIZE OF A DIME) into the cup. This has been great and is a lot cheaper. I’ve even started putting pots and pans in the dishwasher again. There’s been no crusty film on the cookware. Please notice that I wrote to use a small squirt of dishwashing liquid (size of a dime). I’ve been using the cheapest of the cheap dishwashing liquid (Dollar Tree variety). It is kinda watery, so the dime size squirt spreads out somewhat. Just be careful. You don’t want to use so much that you get a bunch of suds. Anyway, I just had to tell y’all. YYY Link to comment

Kelly
My FIL uses the homemade laundry soap in his dishwasher. The home made soap doesn't suds up like store boat. Link to comment
blestmomof4
I always thought that regular dishwashing soap damaged a dishwasher. I wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and was told by the repaiman and others to make sure that I rinsed them really well or it could damage my dishwasher. Link to comment
