When my friend had her cat declawed they told her not to use regular litter but to only use shredded newspaper for kitty litter for 3-4 weeks. I can't remember for how long now. Anyway, I had a shredder and sent her a couple of trash bags full. I think they make special kitty litter now recovering declawed patients. But the newspaper litter is free and short term.

OMG! This thread is so funny. Not because of the content but because I identify with some most of everything on that list. I'm having such a strange feeling right now. I think for the first time I just fit in somewhere. Now I'm going back to re-read it all and take notes.
