Today is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It is state law that you MUST watch the annual Auburn-Alabama game. Although I usually root for Alabama (currently the National champion) I won't be too upset if Auburn wins. Princess Sr. is going to Auburn this year and also is in their band. Right now while the game is on, the roads are nearly deserted..restaurants have no waiting and home toilets flush in unison during commercials. I am not kidding. It is that big of a deal here.

Tonight will be a turkey free meal to give poor DH a break. lol..he can't take any more turkey.

I will have to do laundry tomorrow..no choice in the matter.

Did anyone venture out of do any online Christmas shopping yet? As cheap as I am, I refuse to fight a crowd, even to save money. Did anyone get any great deals? I looked online a bit Thursday evening but I didn't see anything we needed. Maybe I'll look again on Cyber Monday.

That is great that you have increased your total last week. Snow already! Yikes. We just got chilly yesterday for the first time.

Only one store had great prices on turkey this year. Publix had their brand for 59 cents a pound.

Aldi's had Butterball brand for 99 a pound. Most of the other grocery stores were 99 for store brands.

How are prices in your area?

BTW mice just love insulation on car wiring. Don't ask me how I know.

It is still before 10 am and I am batting a thousand. I can't refill all of my propane tanks because some of them are old and need to be recertified? It's 5 bucks a tank to recertify them.

I also can't get my fire extinguishers recharged. I could only find one place that even recharges them. They said mine are too old.

DH needs some sort of o-ring to be replaced. He found it online and it costs 7$. However it costs 10$ to mail it. It only weighs about an ounce or so but there is a minimum shipping charge. He found a hack instead and hopefully it works. It's a good thing he is clever!

Apparently things are now aged if they are over 10 years old.

We keep hearing about reusing/recycling etc but just try to reuse stuff in this throwaway world.

I sure needed a hug..but for other reasons..lol

I hardly talked to anyone anywhere about the election this time.

Kidney problems often cause back pain. DH will vouch for that.

Don't forget that many restaurants serve free or reduced meals for veterans today. Check your favorite places before you go, to see if they offer freebies. Enjoy!

I have gained back most of my weight I lost earlier this year. I am getting close to my all time high again. That is BAD news.

Another aggravating day here. Maybe we should just give up trying to accomplish anything. If I get one item off the To Do list it seems like 3 more appear!

That's still about 3 miles a day..way to go.

I hate moving..the only good thing about it is that it forces me to declutter!

We hope to get alot done today. DH has a guy coming over to help him do things he can't handle alone anymore. Hopefully he shows up. These "helpers" are notorious for not showing up even though we pay them well. He has to redo the chicken coop since our neighbors dogs have come over here and killed some chickens. There is so much to get done for the winter. We may finally get some rain today too. It's about time..we are in a drought again. No rain for over 3 weeks.

DH had Dr appt yesterday and again tomorrow. So far, all good reports. I go next week and it's been 18 months since I've seen him. I dread it but can't put it off any longer. I take some meds that must be renewed.

While doing a (rare) cabinet clean up today I found a jar of commercially jarred bread and butter pickles. The date says Best By Apr 2014. Would you open and eat them now?

LOL!!!!

I can't remember how many times I sighed as I cut the Velveeta (generic in my case) into cubes. Now Kraft has come to our rescue with premeasured individually wrapped 4 ounce Velveeta cubes! It probably costs twice as much for the convenience(?).
