Synn
Ok I need a bit o help here... Every recipe I find calls for apple juice or cider..Of course I don't have any.. So I just cored, peeled and sliced them and put them in my enamel kettle and have been cooking them down.. Will this work for apple butter? It may take forever to cook down. Anyone else have a recipe that doesn't call for cider or juice? Link to comment
mk7925
My last batch of apple butter I did not have any juice or cider, used water and a tablespoon of vinegar. Turned out great. Just add a little water so it does not stick. I used two great big crock pots. Cooked overnight. Worked great. Link to comment
