Lois
http://www.2line.com/cgi-local/shop.pl/pag...128268264.64347 Guaifenesin is a multi-purpose Over The Counter (OTC) drug, which may effectively treat Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and Myofascial Pain Syndrome, with few, if any, side effects. No prescription is required. People from all walks of life may safely use guaifenesin and experience relief. Unlike other potent drugs, guaifenesin addresses the problem and delivers results--without health-endangering side-effects. Better tolerated by individuals with Fibromyalgia, our Guaifenesin Capsules and Caplets may also aid those suffering from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. Guaifenesin is the decongestant in Robitussin that is an expectorate only the cough remedy has 100 mg while these caplets and capsules contain 600 mg. A strong enough dosage to maybe help with flu congestion. My GD’s Dr recommended it in the OTC med called “Mucinex“. Please check it out for your protection this winter. Link to comment
Momo
I bought a bottle of Mucinex last fall to have on hand just in case. Fortunately, I made it through this past winter without having to use it. Link to comment
Cricket
Walmart has a generic liquid plain "Tussin" that is much less expensive than Robitussin. They also sell versions with DM and degongestants, but I like having the plain around for simple chest congestion. Link to comment
Mother
Nana, in her flu stock up post, recommended getting the generic liquid "Tussin" from the dollar store. It's only $1 a bottle. I bought some but haven't had the chance to try it yet. It's worth a try and certainly not costly. Shouldn't be, Guaifenesin has been out on the market for years. The markup for Mucinex is terrific.
