oh no! Bad chocolate?

I'm digging through the spices and I found a package of choclate chips unopened under the brown sugar bag. Yipeeee!!!!! Problem - they are so old that they are turning white. Can I still use them?

That white on the chocolate chips is called *blush*...I've had that happened to mine many times because I keep a stock of chocolate chips at all times and I have never had a problem.
