Easy pear dessert

I saw this on the TV and tried it the other night. It is definitely on the do again list, but could blow the diet out of the water!

 

In the bottom of a casserole dish pour some melted butter and add some maple syrup. Add some sliced pear (one layer) Cut a piece of puff pastry to fit in the dish, brush with something (Whatever you ususally use - butter or egg) to make it brown. Bake! when the pastry is nice and golden, remove from the oven, tip upside down on a plate ... and enjoy!

Oh, Oh, I have puff pastry in the fridge and real maple syrup. I can do this tonight or tomorrow night. It even sounds like a good breakfast :jumping2: .

 

Now tell me, fresh pears or canned? Does it make a difference?

Thank You Sue! I have canned on the shelf, but will get fresh on my way home tomorrow and make it up when I get home. I can hardly wait. Sounds so good.
