Kelly
I found these in an Amish cookbook and thought I would share for anyone that may have never seen them. Amazing Cleanser 1 cup ammonia 1/2 cup vinegar 1/4 cup baking soda 1 gallon water This is for cleaning walls and taking wax off floors. Floor Polish Put 1/4 cup of fabric softener in 2 gallons of warm mop water on varnished floors. This gives them a nice shine. Graham Crackers 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour 1 cup shortening 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup milk Roll thin: cut and prick with fork. Bake at 350 until nice and brown. Sweetened Condensed Milk 1/2 cup water 3/4 cup sugar 1 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk Place water in 2 cup glass measuring cup. Gradually stir in milk powder. Microwave on high for about 60 secs. until steaming hot. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Cool. This will work in most recipes calling for Eagle brand milk. Link to comment
Shandy
Has anyone tried this recipe for graham crackers? Or any other recipe that turned out well? Link to comment
MommyofSeven
No, but I'm up for the challenge...should we each gather a recipe and try it and post the results? I have one saved somewhere that calls for graham flour, which I can't find here, but I could post it and someone else could try it and then I could find a different one. Mo7 Link to comment
