HippyChick
My husband loves it. During the summer I can go through 3 boxes a week. Does anyone know how to make this stuff from scratch? Link to comment

HippyChick
Thanks I'll try it. What he really likes is the classic kind with the vinegar dressing. Link to comment
Canned Nerd
From the Betty Crocker website is a lot of recipes: Suddenly Salad Recipes Link to comment
OINK
oh man! I used to LOVE those things! But, now they're so salty and sugary.....*sigh* I haven't had any in years. Link to comment
Canned Nerd
That's why you make your own. You get to make foods without salt and preservatives and quit buying the products at the stores so they all go out of business and couldn't buy the product even if we liked it. Link to comment

Amishway Homesteaders
thanks for the link to Betty Crocker website - Suddenly Salad Recipes went and made a copy of a few to try. Yes, you are right better to make your own so you can control what and how much is in it. Link to comment
Stephanie
okay, confused here, aren't the recipies at BC for using the boxed Suddenly Salads? I thought we were looking for ways to make our own Suddenly Salads? Did I miss a link at that site? Link to comment
Cat
Nope, you're right. The ones at the Betty Crocker site are "Start with a box of Suddenly Salad and add..." I bought a box of it yesterday to try ( $2.14 FOR ONE BOX!!! ) so I can see what it's like and find something similar. It's been years since I tried it, because we like my homemade better. But mine is a sweet/sour blend, and I doubt the Suddenly Salad is like that. I'm guessing SS is like an Italian dressing. Link to comment
PoGo
I've never tried the Suddenly Salad products. However, looking at the boxes on the manufacturer's website, it looks to be pasta, vegetables and dressing? A pasta salad I like to make is; Tricolor spiral pasta, cooked chopped tomato chopped cucumber frozen peas green onion Then dress it with an Italian salad dressing. Link to comment
