Carmen
I got it in my head that I want a chocalate chip birthday cake for my birthday. Like, a yellow cake with chips in it, frosted with chocolate icing. A regular birthday cake. Only problem is, the only recipes I can find are for bundt cakes! So any reason I can't just add some chips to the standard cake recipe? How much chips should I use for the standard round birthday cake? Link to comment
Leah
http://cakecentral.com/recipes/2054/Chocolate-Chip-Cake I'm having trouble lately posting on here. If you want a scratch cake, this one is popular over on cake central. If you just want to use your own recipe, try 8 - 12 ounces of chips. Link to comment
Virginia
I even add things to cake mixes. Don't see why it would not work well with a scratch cake, too. Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
This sounds just like what Lori wants for her birthday (this Wednesday 3/31) but seeing I am very allergic to chocolate THAT can't happen. I even get ill when she makes brownies and the smell is coming out of the oven? So It will be a store bought one again this year. But not to worry so far she has had 2 Dinners and one party and we still have the week to get though. She makes out like a bandit every year. not only that but she has gotten 4 gifts from me already too. The best so far is a wooden glider that I had a Amish Friend make special size so it fit between 2 raised beds. HAD to give it to her early as she had to help unload it from the van. :-) Link to comment
