Vic303
15.94 miles this week, some of which was done via the mileage equivalent calculator at walkacrosstexas.tamu.edu, for the time I spent on my bike. Still, I managed to work out 5 out of 7 days this past week. I am actually starting to 'feel thin' in my mind, if not yet in my body! Link to comment
Annarchy
That is great Vic. The miles you all manage to walk a week inspires me. My total for the week was, maybe, 5 miles. With the trip to TX, I did not walk a fraction of what I needed to. Thus, the side effect has me depressed. I gained 10 lbs in 3 days!!!! Better luck this week. Link to comment
Vic303
Well we have a long road trip coming up shortly too..not sure how we will manage the walks in, though I have some ideas...I am just hoping that we don't fall off the food bandwagon and dine on a lot of fast food... Link to comment
Snowmom
I know it is hard when you are on the road. We went to TX in May for our grandson's graduation. When we stoped for gas, one of us got out and walked while one of the others was putting the gas in. We stoped at rest areas and walked for a while. Then we were doing things that had us moving while we were there. Of course having our dog with us helped too. Here are some things that count for miles. These are as you can count them, 1 mile will = one mile. ********* These will be counted as 1 hour = one mile ********* will be down and up 10 times = one mile ******** These two willl be 30 minutes = one mile Just in case someone who is walking is where there is snow. ******** You will have to be the judge of these. We have been counting 1 hour as a mile, but, sometimes it isn't so. Therefore, I'm letting you be the judge of these. ************ Here are my totals: Walking 4 Riding bike 0 Stairs 2 Dishes 1 House Work 1 Laundry 1 Shopping 2 Other 4 Total.......... 15 miles. I need to get to riding the bike on the days I don't go to the gym. Link to comment
