Midnightmom
This past Saturday is the second time they came to my town, and the second time I went to go see them! The first time I didn't have my hearing aids yet and it was difficult to hear the stage "banter." NOT an issue this time. Here are some stills and a (short) vid or two from this time's performance. BTW- ALL of the percusssion and/or other instrumental sounds are made by their beatboxer!!! Jeepers
I love that group too! Awesome pictures and I'm listening to the links now. My favorite was the one of the pretty lady singing "Country Roads" with the band. I know you had a great time! What a memory that will be in times to come. I always sing along with a concert so I can say I used to sing with the band. Yeah, I sang and danced with the Rolling Stones. And breathed the same air as Mick and Keith. LOL It was refreshing to see the price of the ticket. God Bless the USA brought a tear. It usually does though. Actually bawled like a baby better describes it. THANK YOU for sharing your night with us. Here is one of my favorites I listen to every now and then. Beautiful voice and easy on the eyes too. Quote Link to comment
Midnightmom
@Jeepers Austin does have a beautiful voice, doesn't he. And Tim Foust made the whole audotorium SHAKE when he hit a low (actually basement) note on one of their songs - only wish I could remember which song it was, but it was the most awesomest, lowest register bass note that a human voice could possibly achieve! Maybe he really isn't human!!! I hope they come back this way again. But, if the pattern holds, it won't be for another SIX YEARS. ETA: I remembered! It was in "The Ring of Fire!" Here is somebody's video clip of that note. I noticed the above clip was from 2019. Here is one from 2022. Edited August 3, 2022 by Midnightmom Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
Awesome clip. We went to see the Oak Ridge Boys back in the day and their bass, Richard Sterban, shook the rafters too. I think it was Elvira. Um-poppa-um-poppa-mow-mow. They let people come up to the stage and shake their hand at the end. Son was about 14 and still remembers shaking Richard's hand. It was a magic moment. Another good one is Josh Turner and Randy Travis singing T.I.M.E. Randy hits the final low note so low you can barely hear it. I think one of my favorite songs ever is K.D. Lang singing Hallelujah at one of the winter Olympics. Gosh, I love music. Quote Link to comment

Mother
I love Home Free. We were lucky enough to see them locally when they were first getting started umpteen years ago. They have had a few member changes but remain, in my estimation that is, one of the best groups there are. It’s good to see how far they have come. Thanks for the music, MM! 2 Quote Link to comment

Apparently the group has been together for a VERY long time, but they only became "household names" when they won "The Sing Off" back in 2013. Since the only change I am aware of is when Chris Rupp left for a solo career. (The tall one in the black cowboy hat in the first poster). Adam Chance joined the band after Chris left. (He's the one on the far right in the other poster.) The rest of them have been with the band all along, although some of them have started to venture out into releasing solo recordings. While I've enjoyed listening to their music, I sure hope that they stay together!!! 1 Quote Link to comment

Jeepers
Well I fell down the rabbit hole. I saw where they did Go Rest High On That Mountain. Vince Gill wrote that song for his brothers funeral. One of our friends sang it at my dear BIL's funeral. My BIL was in the Army when he died and that video really brought it home. Now, everyone in my family loved George Jones. Especially my son. Huge fan! So when George died his funeral was televised. He and Vince were very close and Vince and Patty Loveless sang the song at his funeral. That song makes me so emotional. 1 Quote Link to comment
