  1. Good for you! I had a math teacher in high school who treated me the same way. I did just what your son did and gave up. I am SO glad he talked to you about it and got it resolved. Thankfully for me I passed the class but barely and I am not any worse for wear... but I was a junior in high school.
  2. So very sorry for your loss. We lost a young girl here the very same way recently. She had just recently graduated from high school.
  3. Wonderful news. As far as the prostate cancer, my DH's grandfather had it for quite some time and was active up until about the last 6-8 weeks of his life. He was 96 when he passed. I am sure it depends on the individual and I know he had some pain at times, but he kept going! It didn't stop him from living his life.
  4. Good grief! You could come to my house and dig up the 1000 little trees that have sprouted here. Not sure what kind they are... I need to look that up. We have successfully transplanted the little buggers for my brother. I like the persimmons, but having the trees in my yard has been a big pain. Edited to add: yep, they are American persimmon trees.
  5. Made fruit rollups for Dad from some persimmon puree I had in the freezer from last year. I didn't know what I was going to use it for and he mentioned that he thought it would be good. So, got that out of the freezer and made Dad happy.
  6. I've not seen any shortages of lemons or juice around here. Is this something that is going to become a problem everywhere? I haven't seen anything on it anywhere else.... anyone know?
  7. We have it growing all over the place here. My dad says it is very good but frankly I have not tried it myself. High time I did I suppose.
