  1. remove about a cup of milk, then freeze. 1 cup per gallon 1/2 cup per 1/2 gallon.
  2. Di when we had to wash my cousins hair and she couldn't stand we had her lie across the bed with 2 heavy towels under her neck and a pan of water on a chair wet, shamooed and then used a couple of gallons of warm water to rinse. Just a thought. Glad to hear that she is doing well.
  3. Thanks for the heads up on the honey in the rosemary, I'm takin' it e-z today, too. Rainy and looks like maybe some snow frurries today. We have been concerned about Mom's heat bill this winter, and when I ask her what she wanted for Christmas she said she didn't want anything. She would just like to get her strength back. I think maybe we might give her some peace of mind, maybe some of her heat bill for Dec.
  4. We voted at 2 pm on our way to my Mom's they said they were over 128 then which is good for this little burg at that hour, it is farm country, so most go in the evening and our polls are open til 9 pm. Mom is still weak, but getting a little stronger every day. She said my brother has been doing most everything, the house cleaning, cooking, errands etc. she is so pleased with him. I am proud of him, too.
  5. You can check out the pages of slumber sounds for all kinds of research done for crying babies. http://www.slumbersounds.com/index.htm#colic If you should decide to use a natural herbal remedy, stick to chamomile or fennel it has long been deemed safe for infants. When my oldest daughter cried for nearly 36 hours and pulled her knees up as though her stomach hurt, my father recommened an oil enema to soothe her bowels. For her it worked as the bowels were irritated.. Good luck.
  6. Yes, foods stored in plastic picks up an estrogen that can simulate natural estrogen and throw off you entire system. My niece had a problem with this. The evening primrose and othe EFA's helped.
  7. Have her checked for hormone imbalance, could be to much estrogen in her system. The birth control pills would have elevated it even further. This would include even the Thyroid, It produces hormones, too. The Essential Fatty Acids would help in this case, but also getting away from plastics and similar products, like oleo.
  8. I'm here, too. I intend to ignore the squabble, what will be, will be. I will turn it off and get on with life.
  9. Good find Hill, grapefruit seed extract will help to purify your water also. Lavender is very healing, and lemon is one of my favorite whiteners.
  10. We had a visit from a family of "munsters" sat. night. We don't usually get any up here. Our son told us they were coming, so when they knocked on the door, he opened it and yelled "Oh my God" and slammed it again. I don't know who he scared more, them or my sister who was visiting. After a bunch of giggling they trooped in for doughnuts and cider. Picture of our ghouls here: http://groups.msn.com/CatsSurvival/loishom...amp;PhotoID=225
  11. I have borage, peppermint, catnip, garlic, flaxseed, thyme, oregano, St Johnswort, transplanted from the wild, soaproot, basil. parsley. I may have missed a few. I plan to add more in the spring. Also vegetables fresh picked just before serving raw, are better for you. More MSM in them. I did a piece on MSM in the spa.
