  1. Gee you look great, Mare. Happy belated birthday. Wore my jeans today, and brought a basket of apples for the horses.
  2. Do you remember what topic inspired you to post here for the first time? For me it was concern that some were forgetting that coloidal silver was an antibiotic, and if used must also be followed with acidophilus, in order to prevent yeast infections.
  3. I was kind of busy today, didn't get on much yesterday either, was in and out. It was cool and breezy so I got some work done here, DH was painting the wood stove so we can get it going in the next week or so, and it was a good time to get the floor and walls cleaned and waxed around that area; looks good now though, all shiny and nice for a day or two.
  4. I was blessed to know both sets of my grandparents. My mom's parents: My grandpa died when I was 16 and Grandma Jeffers when my second daughter was 2. Grandpa Jeffers married at the age of 34, to his cousin Henretta Jones when her parents died , she was 17 and they raised 5 of her brother and sisters and 13 children of their own. 4 still living. My Mom was # 6 My Dad's parents: Grandma died when I was 13 and Grandpa when I was 22. They raised 7 children they are all gone now. My great-grandmother Lehman was a native American, who died young in an accident during a log jam.
  5. It is raining and cool here in NY, but I am baking bread and rolls for the ambulance corp bake sale so that works for me. It will be nice to have hot rolls for our supper too. If I don't save some rolls for us DH will divorce me! Have a good one
  6. My sister took her to the hospital yesterday, on advice of her DR. She has been not feeling well since the 25 of Sept. then her glucose levels went high, and she had a really bad cold. Dr said she was on the verge of pneumonia, so are keeping her untill Mon. Repot today is that they believe she will respond well to antibiotics over the weekend. Please keep her in your prayers.
  7. I used to mke my own costumes, one year I made my costume out of crepe [aper, it was my idea of a can can dancer, I wore a bathing suit under it cause my Dad was afraid it would get wet and disintegrate.
  8. The fault that I find in her thinking is in the matter of faith where she neglected her own premise, "if there seems to be a contradiction; examine your premise"

    Welcome to our family!
  10. Magpie, you look lovely and the hall is elegant. I hope it is your best birthday yet. Happy birthday.
  11. I am on page 600 something and find it difficult to put it down long enough to do my daily chores. It is like my father told me things were going to happen, so I already know that as soon as I have read it, I will reread it. It is facinating, to find my thoughts in a book that has been out for so many years and I had not even heard of it til I got on this forum. I still remember My Dad telling me to believe nothing that I heard and 1/2 of what I see.
  12. Quote: My two biggest problems is gophers and ground squirrls! Have you noticed that most animals that will eat your vegetables don't like the peppers? I use the crushed red peppers to make a tea, (pour boiling water over 2 tablespoons of the crushed red pepper and steep for 6 min) then strain it and put the strained liquid in a spray bottle fill it on up with water and spray the plants you don't want them to eat. works for me.
  13. I have started reading it, it is very thought provoking. To realize how this " social conciousness" came into being. The beginnings of Communism in this country?
  14. Cat, thank you so much for the lovely postcard.
  15. Happy birthday SCMary, I have been looking for a reason to wear this lovely cream color dress, this is the perfect occaision. I hope it the bestest birthday ever.....
