  3. I keep all the pieces of bar soap, when I have 10 to 20 of them I grate them and put them in small amount of boiling water and stir, then pour them into a soap mold (I use a cardboard 1/2 gallon milk carton split the long way) and let it dry for a few days, cut and use.
  4. We have a gas stove so cooking is possible. We have some of those packages of noodles with chicken flavored sauce to which we add tuna for a delicious meal for 2 just add veg. Salmon and corned beef are always good, then we have prepared meals that need very little added to serve a meal. when we bake cakes we slice it and freeze it for several treats. we have a propane lantern w/ 4 or 5 tanks of propane and an Alladin lamp w/ a gallon of kerosene The propane lantern is great 'cause it can be hung by it's bail with no fear of it getting knocked over. we heat with wood so not much change there just a struggle to keep the wood in and the shoveling that involves. I try to shop for cold meds and such at Sam's for the winter in Oct or Nov so should be all set.

  8. we saute about 3# of jalepenos with 1/2 # of bell peppers, about 3 whole garlic bulbs (more if you like) in olive oil and oregano and salt and pepper to taste. we portion them in about 1 cup containers for freezing. We eat them as a condiment with meat, spag, or whatever else like a hot condiment with. The bell peppers cool them slightly if they are super hot.
