  1. Sunday was a regular Church and walk dogs day, for me.

Yesterday, after walking, was take Oreo to vet for 6 months nail clip and 3 year rabies shot day. We started drugging him Sunday night as usual. Finished Monday morning and he was very loopy. When we got to doc, he went ballistic attacking anyone trying to get near him. Bit the assistant before the vet got into room (didn't draw blood but I saw a mark). He weighs 39 pounds now. We finally had to leave him and let them knock him out. When we got back to get him, he could barely walk, but it still took 3 of the workers at vet to get him in the car. They were wearing long armed leather gloves. He seems ok today, but yikes! He is just too much for me and DH trying to help with the midline in his arm and barely able to breathe. Dog came from the shelter and we have tried our best with him. Not sure how much longer we can do this. I am so glad it is over for 6 or 7 months.
Then I had a doc appt. in the afternoon for possible kidney stone. Have a CT scan set for middle of August.

Today should be much calmer. Will walk first.
    Vote in local primary.
    Walk dogs.
    Do laundry.
Try to regain sense of calmness!

I haven't planted my trombo squash yet, Littlesister,  It seems too hot to plant anything right now.  Was 102 for two days in a row, then 100 for two days.

  2. Yesterday went by in a blur. The kitten scratched my little Peanut's eye and neosporin wasn't helping so had to go to vet.

    Walked first, this morning.
Second day of DH's IV antibiotics.
Just made Firehouse Baked beans for a funeral meal.
Only thing on my list this afternoon is to research candidates for local primaries on Tuesday.

  3. Walked first this morning.
Picked up friend and we dropped off my Peanut Butter pup at the groomer.
    Went to Aldi and Walmart.
Then to Dollar General and auto parts store.
lunch at Burger King and sprang Peanut from lockdown.
Waiting for infusion company to deliver DH's IV antibiotics now.  Home health will be here to get him started in the morning and then it will be up to me to get it done.  They will monitor him once a week.
    Bible study in a bit.
Too busy a day for me!

I don't recall if I already posted about this or not.

Milk thistle really works!  Peanut's numbers were off the charts and she is back to normal with not drinking water all the time and not peeing every hour and a half.  She has gained back the weight she had lost and her hair is turning brown again as she had gone completely white over the past year or so.  I have actually seen this work and wanted to share!

  4. Well today did not go as planned.
Plan was--Take Peanut Butter to groomer, stop at doc, do some grocery shopping--with or without my friend. Tried to call friend 4 times with no answer. Went to house and couldn't get a response at door. Called her daughter, so she could get someone over to check on her. I went to Post office and on the way out I see coolant dripping fast from front corner of jeep. Drove one block to mechanic's and left jeep. Peanut and I walked home.
This is how God works in my life. If I hadn't gone to check on friend, I wouldn't have stopped at Post office first and wouldn't have seen coolant dripping. Would have been about 12 miles away when it overheated or whatever.
At least in my life, everything seems to happen for a reason!

I did walk first, this morning.
Hopefully, we will pick up jeep later.
DH had to go to hospital at 9 am to have PICC line put in for IV antibiotics which will start tomorrow, I think.

And my friend is fine. Her phone keeps messing up. Her daughter has said she will buy friend a new phone for over 6 months. I think she is going to do that soon!

  5. I woke up at 3 and finally got up at 4 am. Already paid bills.
Will walk next and then walk dogs.
Will write a letter to a friend in Military, later.
Give Peanut Butter a bath for haircut tomorrow.
Do some Church computer work, hopefully.
Staying inside most of the day due to heat.

@Becca_Anne, that is what I will have to do.  One at a time.  Then email them one at a time to the fellow requesting them.  Sigh  I will work on it later.

@Annarchy, how is the air fryer working?

  6. I hope your power is back on Becca Anne!  That's no fun!

I'm happy about your glasses Ambergris!  It's a pain to not have them as well as expensive.

Glad your GS is coming around Littlesister.  That has to be a relief!

    Already walked and walked dogs.
Went to Courthouse for sample ballot for primaries next week.
    Did laundry.
    Did month ending books.
Still have to set up DH's pills for the month and clean microwave.
Then figure out how to email photos of accordians (dad's) that were received as a text.
It's still too hot for me!

  7. Today, I am picking the last of the jalapenos, lettuce, chives and tomatoes.  Will let those tubs rest while I figure out what to plant next.  Maybe wait a week or so until the heat dome passes.  The snap beans are doing wonderful!

  8. Will walk shortly and then walk dogs.

Cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floor at Church.

Have a friend stopping by to help me with some Church paperwork.

    Bible study this evening.

I am loving reading the adventures of Ambergris and Annarchy!  Thank you ladies!

  9. Walked first this morning.
Took DH to copd doc appt--then VA clinic. VA is determining how to get him set up with a midline again, so we can do IV antibiotics at home.
I took 2 bags of mulch to Church and did flower beds, this afternoon.
Unloaded two cases of jars I got at the thrift store about a week ago. They went in the shed.  One of them is an unopened case of wide mouth pints with lids.  An older style.
I think it feels like I have done more because it's so hot!

I got the seeds today, Littlesister.  I think I will wait until we are past this heatwave to plant.  As well as the tomato cage, they will be up against a 5 ft. chain link fence.  I have a friend who planted them a couple of years ago.  I will talk to him also.

I think I will take the rest of the day off!

Annarchy, glad you made it home safe.

Jeepers, sounds like you really had a great weekend. And loads of fun with your GS.  House is now coming along and you are getting a lot done. Hope they have the house back together within 2 or 3 months.

I will be very busy tomorrow. Need to make a dollar tree trip but that won't take long. Will go there first thing in morning and then back home to finish packing up GS's things to move to the foyer.  Then will mop kitchen floor. I should have done it this evening but was to tired.  Washed clothes this morning and then went out to check garden. We got 3 short rain showers today. The last one just a little bit ago so didn't have to water garden. I will need to pick okra in the morning also.  Picked cherry tomatoes between showers earlier this afternoon. One of the squash is now about 4 feet long and another one is about 3 ft. long. Loaded with blooms also. I will need to come up with something better for them to climb on next year. They are growing all over the yard.

We had another evening of torrential rains yesterday. I went to check on the house. There is water in the basement but only in the low spots. Not covering the entire floor. Sump pump was working. I can deal with a little water down there. I don't like it but it's doable. Especially since nothing is stored down there now. What a relief it is to get that basement cleared out. I can't believe it's all gone. A real Godsend believe me. I don't know how I would have managed that wet mess!

I got one load of trash hauled away from the garage that we had piled up. I probably need to go only two more trips to get rid of it. That isn't all of the junk out there but a good portion of what we got piled up.

I have decided to postpone my trip to PA. I'm just not in the mood for it and I'm tired to the bone. If I go anyplace it will be a trip to Indy. There is a ton of work that needs done over there sorting through everything. I still need to get the pantry/bedroom set up too. I noticed there is a lot of weeds growing over there again. Especially down the cracks in the driveway.

I got my results from the mammogram. Everything looked to be negative!  :hapydancsmil:

One issue I had was they said they didn't have any previous scans to compare it to. I told them the previous hospital where I had had numerous ones done. They said they would send for my records over there to compare. So now I don't know if I want to alert my doctor to that fact or just let sleeping dogs lie. I'm thinking about just letting it go and accept the blessing for now?

Well, this didn't work like I thought it would!  I won't be quoting posts.  I thought it would just quote what I highlighted.  Jeepers, I would let sleeping dogs lie if they said everything appeared negative.

Mt Rider, I am glad you have AC that works good!  Wish you didn't have to take it out when things cool off.  It doesn't have heat also does it?

Littlesister, I ordered some of those seeds.  I look forward to trying them in lick tub with tomato cages for them to climb!

   Little sister I read that and was thinking the 'fruit of the vine' was FOUR FEET LONG.  :scratchhead:   I'm thinking, dang!  She's got great soil and perfect conditions!    I caught up to reality when you said it was loaded with blooms.

Thankful you're home safe, Annarchy.   :amen:

Glad to hear you're marking off things To Do list at the house, Jeepers.  Empty basement with a bit of water is nothing like what you came home to originally...  :amen:

Miki....praying you'll get more sleep.....as I'm sitting here at half-past midnight myself.  :busted:   And I FLEW out of bed to answer the danged phone again this morning.  THREE RINGS and it hangs up.  :gaah:   Blind with sleep and barely negotiating the path to phone out in our 'hall'.....and they hang up?!?!  :motz_6:   Probably a dumb robo call anyway but let me sleep!!  Took forEVER to get my brains caught up with myself after that dash!  :imoksmiley:  But I really can't stop doing that cuz....I'm seriously not awake when my body reflex is to run to answer phone!

Last nite I got too hot to sleep so shut off lights, fan on, and read Kindle for a bit.    Yeah...quite a bit!  Forgot I was reading a new book by one of my very favorite authors and ......  shoot, it was 3 am before I finished the book.  :whistling:    Hmph!  Did not need that phone ringing!

Its very nice to have A/C  :bounce:    I can relax and not get anxious about how HOT it will get.  But...since my chair in LR is directly in front of the A/C.....I had to move to bedroom.  I was freezing.  :frozen:       But...I was not in danger of hyperthermia!  And we could use the oven without danger of being driven out of the house with the heat!  :)   Had salad and baked salmon tonite.

Wow...lotta smilies tonite.  I must be feeling emphatic!   (not empathic, mind you)

    MtRider  ..... to bed....soon.

This morning, I will walk first, then walk dogs.

I honestly don't have anything else on my list, but I'm sure I can come up with something to do.

You all have a good day and stay cool!

  11. I'm so glad you are home, Annarchy!  Best place to be this side of heaven!

I hope you find the instructions that you are looking for Mt Rider.  Also, glad you have AC.  Now your weather should cool down, right?

I'm glad that your GS is doing well, Littlesister!  That's a blessing!

Already walked, walked dogs, shoveled out city gutters the workers don't do.
Third load of laundry is in the washer.
    Nothing else planned.

    Was up at 4:45.

  12. 4.5 hours sleep. Up at 5 for fellow finishing laying radiant barrier in attic.
French toast bake is in oven.
Then pick up my friend and take her and French toast to Church.
Early afternoon, another friend will pick me up and going to a play. Assassins the musical. Small town production and it gives the local kids something positive to do in their spare time. So relaxing some this afternoon!

Tuesday and Saturday are the only days I don't need to get up early this coming week, so hoping for extra rest then!  I'm so glad that your MS is coming under control, Mt Rider!  That has to be a huge relief!

Try to get a little rest Becca Anne and Littlesister!  Wish we were all hanging out with Jeepers and fam at the pool!

  13. Walked first this morning.
    Walked dogs.
Mopped entire Church fellowship hall and bathrooms. It's a lot bigger than I thought.
Still need to cook a package of bacon to put in Stuffed French Toast in the morning for Church.
Will get up at 5 to make it and let it sit for awhile before baking.
Young man was here this morning to put down radiant barrier in attic but it got hot fast. He started at 7 and we told him to go home at 10:30. He will be here at 5 so no need to set my alarm.

Becca Anne, I'm glad it was just a routine visit for you.

I keep about 6-8 gallons of water by my washer in vinegar bottles, Annarchy.  A leftover habit from living in hurricane country, I guess.
