just another little tip for green beans... my DD didn't like garden fresh beans so I would cook them with a potaoe and she would like them then. As o the why I do not know. My Grandmother taught me that one

We keep stealing her eggs, don't want any more geese trying to fine a home for the three we do have. She has now moved her nest and I can't fine it. I want to try and carve the eggs. I seen some really nice work on eggs and would like to give it a try. I have only two left. Ate the others.

windy here too, so hung out some sheets and just roamed around the place checking out the critters, and just plain enjoying the day and DH.

looking out our window I see blue, blue skies. the geese out grazing, sugar baby bouncing around(my sheep) the two Saint running here and there. And toward the sky i watching a red tail hawk fighting off two black crows. I see green grass, taking the place of the whiteness of the snow that has been gone. Also see the buds of the young maple trees. It is truly a beautiful day.

when i went out to feed the critters I found three goose eggs!! We had these three geese for a little over a year now and where begainning to think they where all males. But my DH told me that blue was acting funny, he tought that she might be looking to nest and this morning he hadn't seen her so while i was out feeding i had found her on a nest in the open with three eggs under her. What a surpise that was, thinking we had all males and one even laid an egg

i am really looking forward to this. Never done a quilt before. Got a lot of the squares cut out need to cut out some more. I am hoping to have them all done and ready to go soon.

sorry to hear that.... don't be scare, I know it is all scary and all .. but you will make it. Remember God doesn't put us through anything we can't handle. Even though theres time you might wonder.

i know what you mean about CBS, NBC,and ABC. We have gotten to where we read a book aloud to one another. And in the summer we spend a lot of time outside. Tnanks for all the reports, this will help save a lot of money. I have already crossed off a few of the things off my shopping list. Myself I don't care for those swiffer type mops, they work and all but I can't justify the price. I guess i am just cheap. I won't even buy a mop head for my mop. We have enough old and odd socks for me to make a good one. And i like making my own cleaners. They work just as good as any other. Although my fav cleaner to buy when i buy is Mr. Clean.

Oh, my ... tell Mare she is in my prayers and thoughts. for a quick recovery.

yesterday my DH and I went to the tractor supply store and while he was looking for some kind of nut. bolts whatever I went roaming and found some little baby chicks cute as can be, I wasn't going to get any, honest, but then I seen some red ones and that was all it took. I came home with six of them. but now have only five. lost one

When you go to pick out your piggy, watch it run a little and look at it's hams, if it jiggles a lot it will be a fatty piggy. I know that sounds a little silly but it is true. Corn feed also helps tenderize the meat. When I was a kid we use to raise pigs. And my DH and I where given a pig and raised it, and butched it. And now we are raising two more one for a friend and the one for us. As for raising one by it's self we did it and it was a happy piggy, kind of spoiled. Of the two we have now one of them is mean, she tried to bit me a couple of times. I think I got her trained to stay away now... One thing for sure pigs are real smart, and fast learners.
