What a great Dr.! She has family with Aspergers, so she knows exactly why I'm so stressed out. She prescribed Lexapro for me, and gave me enough samples to last 2-4 months depending on if the 1/2 dose works for me. She also said she'll give me more samples if it does work. So I'm moving in the right direction now. Thanks for the hugs, they help so much too

I've decided to go get medical help dealing with the depression I've been battling for the past 2 yrs. I'm under immense stress since DH is still out of work. It may be situational, but I'm not dealing so well with things and it's not getting better it's getting worse.

{{{{{{{Jan}}}}}}} I don't think it's possible to stop being mom just because your kids are grown up and on their own. I hope your son and his wife get some outside counselling. I'm sure it's so tough to watch things from the outside. I've dealt with it with friends, and it's painful enough when it's not family so I can only imagine your heartache

Thanks Snowmom and Cavey. I actually did grab the fire extinguisher from the kitchen on my way out. I had my 2 yr old, so I couldn't bring him back into the house because of the danger and smoke. It was more important to get out. I got my new dryer today and it is hooked up with a metal exhaust. So we are much safer now. I am going to get a second fire extinguisher to put in our bedroom.
