UKGuy
Shellie, your recipe sounds quite delish, and a bit familiar to a recipe I'm think'n about trying. I'm pretty sure the recipe I found, said to add a can of Chinese Vegetables. After I make this recipe myself, ( and if I like it ) I will add mine here as well. I remember when my MIL use to cook up 1-2 lbs. ground beef, then add to it, ( 1 can ea.) cream of chicken & cream of mushroom soup, and throw in an 8 ounce cont. of sour cream. She then would serve it over either hot-cooked rice, or mashed potatoes. Yum, it was good!!! Link to comment
Synn
Well I didn't have mushroom soup and I didn't have chow mein noodles.. So I doubled the cream of chicken and am going to throw some buttered corn flakes over the top.. More when I taste it!!!!!!! Link to comment
brightblessings5
When my ex and I were young and first married, I made a casserole similar to this. Instead of onion and celery it had a can of chinese veges, and it called for regular rice instead of minute rice. We loved it and it would last us for 2-3 days, which was good because this was a cheap dish to make and we were mostly BROKE! Link to comment
