5th graders mama
you're as hopeless as me. Friend of mine is having one of those candle parties tonight... and I just realised that while I'm breezing through the catalog I'm not looking at colors or fragrances - I'm calculating in my head the average cost per hours burned. HELLLLLLLLLLLooooo mamacat! Its a PARTY. Link to comment
Guest Guest
Yesterday I got an invitation to a jewelry party. Hello, I live where I feed critters, make hay, garden, can, etc. and the critters, nor DH, are impressed with a hand beaded bracelet for $49.95. I, like you, looked through the catalog thinking for $49.95 I could buy this or that for gardening or a variety of other things. Sometimes I do put on something besides jeans and sweatshirts but not often enough for a $50.00 beaded bracelet.....give me a break! So yeah Mamacat, I'm as hopeless and maybe more so than you. Bamboo
VS is the only one I'll make exceptions for... no candle parties, no jewelry parties, etc. I guess there are two that I'll make exceptions for. The other is Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies ) Link to comment
ricardo
My aunt and cousins (3) are constantly putting on these candle parties. When we walked out, we or should I say I'd spent $50. Maybe that will teach her a lesson... not to ask me again! They do have some really nice stuff, but I've seen the same items at Walmart for much less. Link to comment
5th graders mama
This weekend I bought 2 gallons of lamp oil for less than the cost of 1, count 'em, 1 of those candles! My bright red caboose lantern has ambience, yes? Sure can see my food better to eat by than candles. Link to comment
Synn
I bought lamp oil this weekend and nearly croaked.. It's up to 4.25 a gallon now.. I have been getting at an Amish Lamp shop.. I told dh when I got home I am going to be forced to go back to kerosene.. And only burn that oil in my Aladdin oil lamp.. Link to comment
