cheaper canning lids??

I know it has been asked before, but what is your best source of canning lids, price-wise? I have searched the web and googled everywhere. I paid $1.36 per dozen last fall. Can we do better than that??

some of the online prices are better but by the time you pay S & H not so good a deal!

we have found them on sale need the end of canning season here so get them then or we do get our from the Amish Bulk Food Store.

large are $2.70 for 2 doz. (that's $1.35 a doz.)

and reg. lids are $4.25 for 4 doz. (that's $1.07 a doz.)

if we buy in bulk (5 doz. or more) it goes down in price per doz.

Best price I have seen them the past couple of weeks is in Save-A-Lot for 1.35/doz. Maybe I will run out to Miller's and see what their prices are for bulk.

I just saw on ebay that someone is selling lots of regular size Ball lids- 30 boxes for $20 and wide Ball lids 20 boxes for $20 and the shipping is $8 first and $3 additional. Not a bad price. The regular is item 150110434480. And these are on a Buy It Now not a bid item. As of a few minutes ago, there are 40+ lots available. I am NOT the one selling these, Just wanted to pass it on.

I do, too, Vic. Almost every visit I toss a box of lids into the cart. Of course by visiting the canning section regularly, I was able to scoop up great deals on pickling salt, etc. when they went on clearance.
