QUICK!! I need HM yoghurt help!!

[ArmyOfFive4God] Hey, anyone know if I can make HM yoghurt using slightly soured milk?

[MommyofSeven] AoF4G, won't be yogurt without active cultures

[ArmyOfFive4God] Mo7, I'm adding the store bought yoghurt, I just wanted to be sure that I could use the soured instead of the "fresh".

[ArmyOfFive4God] I figure since it's going to be soured anyway, the already sour milk wouldn't hurt it

[ArmyOfFive4God] I've got it on my dehydrator, so I guess I'll find out, LOL

[MommyofSeven] I don't know, I haven't ventured into yogurt making yet

[Leah] Sorry for jumping in... But my MIL used to use the milk that was getting too sour to make yoghurt. It was good.

[ArmyOfFive4God] Usually I freeze sour milk in 1/2 & 1 cup portions for baking, but I have SO much on my list today, that I didn't feel like messing with it

[ArmyOfFive4God] It had already started curdling by the time I got it into jars to go on the d'h'tor, so that's always a good sign
