brendajo Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 My sil called me for a recipe she needed.Then asked if it was true that I had canned turkey.All you canners know that opened the door for at least a looooong conversation.Bottom line is I will be teaching her to can and prep for her family.Something good IS coming out of these high prices. I find more and more people asking me to teach them how to home can and it's a pleasure to pass forward, the knowledge that was shared with me years ago. The gal at the dentist's office heard me talking about canning beef stew and was all excited to tell me last visit that she is now the proud owner of a canner.. Nice to pass it forward, indeed.
