Robert Z
I found a source or two online that sell canned butter, but the shipping seems to be adsorbent! Does anybody have a good source? Link to comment
JCK88
I got it on ebay, a couple crates. Shipping wasn't too bad. But..I don't remember the seller, LOL Link to comment

Andrea
I've chosen to go with the powdered forms of margarine, butter, cheese, & eggs found at emergency essentials. I've been tempted to try the canned cheese & butter but those are luxuries that I haven't yet justified. When I was researching, I found this site: http://www.readymaderesources.com/cart/ind...ewCat&catId=140 At the time, they had the best prices. Good Luck! P.S. The quality on these items is supposed to be quite good based on testimonials I've read in the past here on this forum. Link to comment
Robert Z
so, how is the powdered butter? If you rehydrate it and chill it, is it like real butter? can you melt it and sautée in it like real butter? Link to comment
Andrea
I'm ashamed to admit I haven't tried any of them yet! (I'm too cheap!) I've just started ordering these items over the last 9 months and currently, the "real" items are much cheaper and probably better! I won't be putting them into our food rotation until 1) they get a few years on them or 2) they become a less expensive alternative to the real thing. Sorry I can't be of more help! Link to comment
Kevin B 123
I have some “butter Buds” the box directions reads, Dissolve in HOT water, but never tried sauteeing... I also get powdered butter from the bulk store, but only bake with it! Some of the on-line sights say to Re-hydrate in oil... I guess ya could sautee.... Link to comment
westbrook
we tried the red feather in the can... it is butter! Link to comment
