Kelly
My mom made this when I was a kid, I guess bologna was cheap then because we never had much money. Take a stick of bologna, cut it in pieces and put it through a meat grinder. Add mayo, relish and onion. It makes a good sandwich. Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
this sounds like something Lori would like she is alway eating bologna. (so funny I had to sing the song to spell b-o-l-o-g-n-a) Link to comment
midwest prepper
We also made this for a sandwich spread only we added a spoonful of dry cherry flavored Jello. Why this was added I don't know, but it was good. Link to comment
Canned Nerd
My mind is still stuck on the "stick of bologna" since I've only seen the sliced kind in my stores. Link to comment
midwest prepper
Stick bologna is the kind with a sort of red rind on it,it can be found where the lunch meats are or in the deli's & you can have a piece cut for you. When you get ready to make the spread, cut that red rind off. Link to comment
Leah
It used to be that you couldn't buy sliced bologna. It came like a thick summer sausage; 2 or 3 feet long, wrapped in red. You could get a hunk though, or the butcher would slice it for you. Link to comment
Kelly
I just bought some at Save-Alot if you have one of those near you. Link to comment

Oh those smaller sticks they carry are so good! We usually get them for the guys to munch on with crackers and hot sauce out in the garage when they are working. Never thought to get one to make balogna salad out of...wonder how rag balogna would work for this? Q Link to comment

It came shaped like the smoked sausage rings you can buy shrink-wrapped today. Link to comment
Kelly
I love ring bologna! I can't find it here where I live but when I go to Ohio to visit my sister always buys a bunch for me. Link to comment
