You really don't need the one for the machine. Does it have a fan and adjustable thermostat and heat source ? You need those to dry the food fast enough before it molds or spoils.

If not, you will not be able to safely dry jerky on it.

Here is a downloadable copy of the booklet we sell. It is really nice. It doesn't have info about drying jerky, but we can send it later. No ground meats are safe to dry, not even in jerky form. Only highly salted, solid, lean meats are safe to dehydrate.

I sent you a link to a free downloadable booklet. You don't need the specific manual for a dehydrator.

If yours doesn't have a fan, a heat source, and adjustable thermostat, take it back and get your $2. Sorry, they are not good to use if that is the type it is.. We don't recommend their use since the foods can mold or spoil before they dry, if that is the case. It would be really unsafe for jerky.

They're here, they're here... just scattered! ;) We ARE trying to help!!

I will merge another of your posts about it into this one, so if it looks "funny", that's why. :) I found it in the kitchen. Then there's another one tucked into this thread: http://mrssurvival.com/forums/index.php?sh...c=28576&hl=

I have LOOKED AND LOOKED AND LOOKED all over the internet for exactly what you said it is, and all I can find is that Maytag used to make them, and they were good quality. I can't even find a picture of it.

I think I saw every *OTHER* kind of dehydrator.... putertired.gif
