I know there are others out there who are walking, just not posting. Here are some things that count for miles. These are as you can count them, 1 mile will = one mile. ********* These will be counted as 1 hour = one mile ********* will be down and up 10 times = one mile ******** These two willl be 30 minutes = one mile ******** You will have to be the judge of these. We have been counting 1 hour as a mile, but, sometimes it isn't so. Therefore, I'm letting you be the judge of these. ************ Here are my totals: Walking 1 1/4 Riding bike 4 Stairs 3 Dishes 1 House Work 2 Laundry 2 Shopping 2 Other 4 Total.......... 19 1/4 miles. Ok, who will be ??? ********* Who is going to join us? Anyone who wants to start exercising or walking or whatever, count your miles and add them up this week and post them next week when either Momo or I make the walking post. Link to comment

Snowmom Posted August 25, 2009 Author Share Posted August 25, 2009 You are doing great, Snapshot. I haven't put down what I have lost, as it is a very slow process. But, since I came to Mrs. S. and have been doing the walking thing, about 9 or 10 years ago, I have lost around 25 pounds. I've lost 2 almost 3 sizes for slacks. I feel better and am able to squat and get back up without help now. Just a year ago or so, I was not able to do that. And, I'm getting older too. Link to comment
Momo Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 I am not able to walk much right now...I have been doing real good for the past week on healthier eating though. I even grilled salmon and made fresh spinach for lunch. Here's hoping I can keep it up. Link to comment

It sounds like you are doing good with your eating, a lot better than we are right now. We have been doing a lot of eating out lately. I know that isn't good for us, but, with everything such a mess in here, I don't feel much like cooking. We are planning to grill tonight, so I hope it isn't raining, but, it is cloudy and was misting earlier this morning. Link to comment
