Cat Posted August 8, 2012 Share Posted August 8, 2012 The car needed $500 in work done over the past 2 days. Brake line replaced and ball joint replacement. We got the question of the tie rod ends settled to everyone's satisfaction. I thought the car sounded louder when I left this morning on an errand. Tailpipe going out... ok, it's an old car. Halfway home I suddenly had a *LOUD* car! I looked back and nothing had fallen off, but I had to take it back in. The pipe had busted behind the catalytic converter, and rather than replace the whole thing on an old car, they patched it. Another $91. But thank God it didn't break and twist underneath and force a bigger repair. While I was still driving that mess home to call the garage, BigDD called. She is still sick, needed rest, and could I come over to help? I told LilDD, "Hey, nobody's dead. The car is fixed. God is good." Think I'll go to bed early tonight... Quote Link to comment
