Snowmom
4**********Here are some things that count for miles. These are as you can count them, 1 mile will = one mile. Biking, swiming, walking, and such. *********These will be counted as 1 hour = one mile********* will be down and up 10 times = one mile********These two willl be 30 minutes = one mile weights, jumping rope. ********You will have to be the judge of these. We have been counting 1 hour as a mile, but, sometimes it isn't so. Therefore, I'm letting you be the judge of these. ************Last week, December 29 - January 4, I am going to say with laundry, stairs, shopping, housework, dishes, treadmill and bike, I got in about 22 miles. I do hope I can start getting a lot of miles. **** Ok, who will be ???*********Who is going to join us? Anyone who wants to start exercising or walking or whatever, count your miles and add them up this week and post them next week when either Momo or I make the walking post. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Wow Snowmom!!! That's great! Last week, my little brother & his family came to visit. I was up on my feet most the time. Tiny house, limited seating, cooking and entertaining them. Then, Saturday, I began turning my garden plots with a shovel for 2 hours. Still need to finish and get planting. Miles, 2 with family, 2 in the garden, 1.5 cleaning house... 5.5 miles total. DH and I have begun walking together with the dog. We are both having heart issues (rapid beating-nothing serious according to the doctors) and think it is related to lack of exercise. Quote Link to comment
Momo
Snowy, that is amazing (especially with all the bad weather)! Walking with the dogs is a good way to exercise without it seeming like exercise. Quote Link to comment
