  1. She talks just like Scah-lett. But, I'm not nearly as conniving as Scah-let!
  2. If I may ask.... Is it traveling expenses or missing work that is the problem ? Would be wonderful to see you again!
  3. Thanks! I will look for some .308 Winchester! I like my Mosin Nagant and think I will like this one.
  4. May seem kinda boring, but, I truly want to learn more about cleaning and proper storage on the firearms. I read so many conflicting reports of the 'right' way to do it. We always enjoy target practice! I'm shopping for some 7.69x51 ammo. If I can locate it I'd like to try the Izzy (Ishapore?) my sister gave me. I haven't even shot it yet. I'll help with whatever needs to be brought. The proper grip and stance and etc. I really want some refreshers on the basics! Thanks Mark!
  5. Wow! This promises to be the gathering of ALL GATHERINGS!! And it will be here before you know it! I'll plan to bring supplies for basic crochet and a new technique, Tunesian. I'll bring what's needed for rag rugs too and also some knitting needles for any interested. Plus, some raw wool and carders and my drop spindle. So, we will definitely have opportunity for some back to the basics Fiber Arts. I'm no expert but can definitely get you started if you are interested. I've got my Dutch oven too - so we can do another dump cake in the camp fire coals!! Josiah will want to bring his guitar if it will fit. Will MrMomM be bringing the Irish drum again?
  6. Hahaha! Well, with Darlene having eye witnesses and the videos for evidence.... I might as well confess! Southern accent it is! It's going to be a wonderful reunion! Can't wait!
  7. How in the name of heavens did I miss this thread! Good thing WormGuy hollered at me. Wink, I started at the top of the thread and was so excited to see you might make it and then sorry to see you weren't. I would have enjoyed meeting you so much. Lisa, will be glad to see you again and I hope to bring more of my crew this year too. MomM, I am so glad you will be there. Tell Mr.MomM that Josiah hopes to bring his guitar if we have the room. Madison! You better be there! We'll try to help each other on the spinning. I'll bring my drop spindle, easier to travel with. And, I've learned a new crochet called Tunesian crochet. Darlene, you know I don't have an accent! Why are you misleading these poor folks. :wink (2): Very exciting and please forgive my delayed posting. Things were a little 'surgical' around here for a while! I'm not sure exactly when we will arrive and how many will be coming, but, we will be there!
  8. Saying goodbye is never easy even with our Blessed assurance. I'm so sorry Ann. I pray that the good memories will over run the pain of grief. You are in my prayers.
  9. Grief is a complicated and yet very necessary part of life. I don't know why some people react the way they do at times like this, but, it is not unusual. As for you, allow yourself to have grief, but, don't allow grief t have you. I'll be praying for you my friend. I've never walked this path but, I can pray for the one who can truly understand your pain to comfort your hurting heart. Much love.
  10. Sending my love and prayers for our Sweet Lord to do what only He can!
  11. Now, that made me LOL! Thank y'all for remembering me my sweet friends!
  12. Well, now, that's a mighty cute calico too!
  13. Just reading about entering into the rest the Lord has provided for us. Praying you will be able to do that and be refreshed.
  14. Thank you so much! It was a great day of spoiling and pampering!
  15. Very cute kitty! I'm thinking if she were around here, she would sound became Dot-Dot!
  16. I'm a big fan of dehydrated and freeze dried foods. I wrote a Blog entry once entitled "Convenience Food Redefined" based on my experiences with it. I do want to point out that freeze dried and dehydrated are two different things. Take for instance our normal dried beans and peas, they would take a notable amount of time, fuel and water to prepare. While, the freeze dried beans are ready for the table, tender and tasty in fifteen minutes. Of course, you pay more for that state of preservation.
  17. Nice find! Will enjoy perusing her pages! Thanks!
  18. Hi all!! We haven't posted on this thread for a while, I thought I'd give it a little bump. With the tornadoes of last week and the OBL death. we've been doing a LOT of CURRENT AFFAIRS. We've read personal accounts written by tornado survivors. This has led to some great discussion, prayer and investigations. I'm in the process of reviewing the 9-11 tragedy as 5 of my children are too young to remember that terrible day. I feel they have to know about terrorism to understand why everyone is talking about Bin Laden. What have you taught your children lately??
  19. Here's a couple of links with tutorials. http://themagiconions.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-to-felt-sweater.html http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art34743.asp
  20. Ann, I am just seeing this and will be adding your sister to my prayers as well. I have a dear friend who is going through radiation and about to start chemo. It is horrific on the pain scales. I will particularly pray for relief from the pain for your sister.
  21. Pondering things in Scripture and feeding my soul.

  22. Spending the week contemplating the year past, the year to come and planning new and improved ways to live and prosper. :)

Hi Stephanie, don't know who to ask, but maybe you can answer my 2 questions. 1. Can someone advertise their company on Mrs. Survival? 2. Who do they contact if the answer is yes. I am a new member, love reading all the messagfes. Thank you.

  23. Hi Steph...haven't seen you in a while and thought I'd stop in and say Hello. Hope you and yours have been well :-)
