rockncook Posted January 9, 2006 Share Posted January 9, 2006 If it's been on your news, we were 5 miles or so from the Mauricio Canyon fire. We're OK, didn't have to evacuate. Hubby is home from the fire with no injuries other than two massive blisters cause his feet got wet (didn't think he'd need the extra socks I told him to put in his pack). We were under a "be prepared to evac" order, so this was the ultimate test of our B.O.B.'s and evac plan. It really helped me to see where I was lacking. I will put together a long post on this "test" in the hopes that it will help others make sure they're ready. I AM very happy to say that the ONLY things I forgot were Roan's SS card cause it wasn't with the others cause we just got it, and a collectible car of my dad's. The loss of that would have been horrible, but I could have lived with it. More later, have to get working now. Love you all! Mommy of Six Link to comment
