twilap Posted May 21, 2006 Share Posted May 21, 2006 We received a phone call late last night that my dh's cousin OD'd on heroine yesterday. He and my dh were close growing up. We didn't get to see him as much as we like, but most holidays we were able to get together. He really struggled with depression, although we do not think he intentionally did this. He was engaged and has a son that is almost 2. He was only 30 years old. This is soooooooooooooo sad! Link to comment

chooselife Posted May 21, 2006 Share Posted May 21, 2006 Deblyn- I'm so sorry. You are all in my thoughts as well. One of my best friend's son was shot to death a few weeks ago- he left behind a wife and 2 babies under 2. He was 20. Things like this are terribly hard. Link to comment

Depression is terrible, for some people there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Out of desperation they turn to drugs or alc. The irony of it all, is that it only makes the symptoms worse.
