Momo Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 My oldest friend called today. Her mother is dying and they did not have a good relationship. I was consoling her about family problems. She suddenly choked up and told me that I have been the only person she can always count on. This was so unexpected and she is not a demonstrative person, so it kind of stunned me. It also made me happy that she thought that highly of me. It is nice to get an unexpected boost, especially from someone who isn't usually very "mushy". Friendship can be a great thing.
