dogmom4
has anyone had any experience dehydrating this? Can you dry whole cloves or do they need to be sliced, chopped? Also, what should they feel like when completely dehydrated? Stacy Link to comment
HSmom
Mmmm....garlic.... Oh, sorry, you asked for information; I don't have any. I just love garlic. Fresh garlic will last for at least a few months if kept dry. Link to comment
Belle
I haven't had any experience with garlic. That's one of the things I want to try this year. I intend to chop it finely, then dry, so it will be ready to just toss into dishes. I'll try doing a little of it without dipping in lemon juice first and, hopefully, it won't turn dark. If it does, I'll dip in a mixture of lemon juice and water, then drain well, and dehydrate. Link to comment

I bought a dozen garlic bulbs at save-a-lot the other day on sale for 50cents. I don't want to see it go to waste though. Q Link to comment
HSmom
I buy a pound of garlic at a time - it's about half of a paper lunch sac. They sit in my kitchen (near the stove) and are perfectly fine for the 4 months or so it takes to use them up. Come to think of it... I haven't had much garlic in the past few days... Link to comment
