I'm sure some or most of you have heard about the car accident during a parade there on Saturday. The last count of those who died was 7 but there are several people in the hospital who are very critical. The 15-year-old girl who was killed, her name was Scarlett, was the best friend of my cousin's daughter and they are friends/go to church with the other victims. There's a lot of hurt there, physically and emotionally, so please, please pray for all involved. Thanks in advance! Link to comment

Vic303 Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Yeah, I saw the Sofa Store fire on TV. Noticed the flags at our local FD are at half staff too. They went in originally and rescued 1-2 employees who were trapped in the fire, and then went BACK in to double check for any more victims, when the roof collapsed and killed them. The drag racer driver in the other tragedy is from around here. Poor guy--you know how horrible he feels for what happened. Talk on the news is he will face some sort of criminal charge too.
