prepping canning lids

I was wondering if anyone has a contingency plan should canning lids become scarce in the future. Jars are reusable from year to year but the lids are not. Have you prepped canning supplies? How much? Would we have to go more toward dehydration?

I have some lids, but not nearly enough for a year of canning.

 

 

I am not at a place where I can store those ahead... *yet*.

I have 120 dozen lids and 20 dozen rings, that should hold me a year. I go to 4 Wal-Marts at the end of the canning season and buy all they have.
