The MacKinnon
Well, now I'll claim "SUCCESS!!!!" Darlene tells me the early pings I heard were normal and we checked the seals. They were secure! Now I need to get labels. What did kind of throw me was the length of time it took to get to each stage: the point where steam comes out steadily and you wait x minutes to put weight on, then from there to where it gets up to the pressure you need so you can begin timing it. I guess the whole process took about 2.5 hours (now I don't remember), but I finally canned something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! (thank you WormGuy!) (thank you Darlene!) (thank you Stephanie and Jake) and Thank you Mrs Survival Folks!! I know I'm being melodramatic. I don't care. Link to comment
Leah
Melodramatic? About canning? Is that possible? Canning is a cornerstone of feeding one's family, so I think a little 'melodrama' is appropriate. Congratulations! Link to comment
