I have to baaaaaa for the goats sometimes. Like yesterday when Pony was left behind in the poultry yard because she was not paying attention when the herd joined me in the paddock behind the mesquite thicket. NOBODY would answer her and she was scared. Silly things won't come unless I talk goat.

Martian, any cuckoo or barred variety of chicken can be sexed quite easily on hatch. The chicks will be mostly black and the males will have a large white splotch on their heads. Females will have a tiny splotch or none.

Thanks, CGA! I'm looking for any foolproof way to avoid raising any roosters. I hated having to rehome my roosters. They were just starting to crow and I had 5. I still don't know how I didn't get cited for having them.

Definately Complain to the Vendor and the Market Manager! I do a booth at our summer market here-baked goods and hand crafts.We all want to please our customers and if they are not pleased we offer money back and a replacement!
