  3. Sunday started out bright and sunny, very crisp, but by noon had turned blah with showers. We did the heaviest of housework on Saturday, so all I had to do Sunday was straighten up. Read the morning papers, dh's stepFIl came by on his way to church, he is looking for a song of Merle Haggards, he doesn't know the name, but remembers a couple of the lyrics to it. So I spent all day online reading all the lyrics to Merle Haggard songs, I still have about 15 albums of his to go through. Now as far as monday goes, Still just had to wash up breakfast dishes, and run a small load of laundry, dust and vaccum. and pick up a few toys other than that the house is still clean...THEY WON'T DARE LET THE HOUSE GET MESSED UP AGAIN, IT HAS KEPT MOM QUITE THIS WEEKEND!!!!NO FUSSING.,,

  13. Well, it started out pretty dang cool this morning, but the sun was out, now it is very overcast with rain and thunderstorms on the way due to this cold front coming in. Weather dudes saying we could see our first frost of the year. Last night on the local weather, the forecaster said, what we are seeing now is nothing in comparison to what is just down the road. So, by the look on his face when he said this, we are either gonna get a little snow or it is gonna get coooooooolllldddd. I just did a load of
  14. I just recently made a pharoah costume for my oldest ds school play, I already had a black dress that he could use, I just sewed the trims and all on, then made the headdress and wrist bands and legs ties, all in all it cost me approximately $28.00. So considering time and labor and material costs, It ran really about the same as the store bought. But there is the satisfaction of having made it yourself that you don't get with store bought costumes. I usually look for the sales on costumes and set a limit of no more than $15.00 per costume. I also usually buy the ones like the buzz light year and power ranger ones, because after halloween the kids love to use them as pajamas....

  16. Good Morning everyone, it is a damp, rainy, blah day here, had thunderstorms last night, expecting more today. We are already at our high for the day of 67*. Stayed up late last night watching the new release of "THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW".. If ever you needed an incentive to get prepared this is it.... If the people would have sheltered in place, and had some preparations on hand, instead of traveling out in the weather, to go South, to escape the superstorm, they could have survived. So, I have decided that I am really going to get everything stocked as much as I can stock, especially bottled water and heating fuel, So if anything like that ever happened, I wouldn't worry so much. Ok, enough about the weather, I am going to straighten up the house, a little. I have no
  17. A rainy morning this morning. The forecast says that we have a cold front moving in on Thursday that could bring in some severe storms, hope not. We are getting our first shot of cold this week, the lows are supposed to be in the 30*s, up in the higher elevations, could possible have mixed winter precip. Things did go better yesterday. Called Auntie, she has calmed down,so that is good. I am upset about my dear friend passing, but it is not a total shock, he has had heart problems for several years. But he was still a very sweet precious man. Well I have a load of
  18. Well yesterday, was in no way a good day. Dh and I had decided to just laze around and read the papers, and go out and play in the yard with the kids before the rain set in. Didn't happen. I got up a fixed a big breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon, and eggs over easy. Had just started serving up breakfast, when MIL and Step FIL comes in wanting us to go to church with them at the last moment. There was no time to get all 3 gets dressed and us dressed too. Well they went on to church, we had just finished eating when my dh's aunt comes driving in, driving fast (very unusual for her), and flashers flashing on the car, and she was just a squalling. Scared us to death, we thought her dh had passed,(he is ill with hepatitis, from years of drinking). But instead it was her poodle (Pebbles) she has had this dog for 11 years, she was blind and poor thing only had 1 little tooth left in her little head. Auntie was absolutley hysterical, carrying that dead dog around, she was driving the car holding onto this dog. So we spent two hour trying to calm her down, we had to force her to change clothes, the dog had messed all over her at the last, while changing clothes, she hands me the dead dog, wanting me to hold it, It was already smelling, Oh the lord had to have given me strength, because I put on a brave face and held that dead dog. Finally, I couldn't take it no more, I had to rush them and make her let us put it to rest... Dh went out and dug a little grave for it, right next to Mr, Kitty and Dexter the parakeet. Finally had that done and got her to calm down again. She called everyone under the sun to tellthem about her dog, even to Murfreesboro Tennessee (my poor phone bill). I can understand her being so upset about the dog, it was her baby for 11 years. I just wish she would have had a little control in front of the kids, because it upset them and kind of scared them the way she was acting. Then to top it all off I was reading the front page of the newspaper, and found out that my first real love, I was with this man for 2 years before I met my husband, died over the weekend. He had heart problems. At least he went where he said he wanted to be when the time came, at his place in Pigeon Forge. I will be going to the funeral home tonight. Dh's auntie, didn't think I should talk about my dearest friend in front of dh, because of the fact that yeah we were a couple for two years. She thought it would make him mad. I asked why would it make him mad. When I was with this man, I had never even met dh. I thought this was the man I was going to marry,LOL... I told her that I was secure in my marriage, and that dh often tells me stories about his old girlfriends.... Oh well that was my weekend, they say we could have some rain today, hope it holds off. But it is supposed to turn colder this weekend, by Friday we could have lows' in the 30*s and highs only in the mid 60*S..... Hope everyone had a good weekend, stay dry and warm....
