  1. I will walk shortly. Pick up my friend and go to the salvage grocery store about 20 miles away. Re-pack GHB. Maybe get through one of the junk drawers. Won't take more than 15 minutes apiece, but I can't seem to get started. Spend some more time outdoors with pups--72 and sunny today!
  2. Walked first, this morning. Picked up my friend and we went to Lowe's for weed killer. Aldi's for produce. Walmart for monthly stock up. They were out of quite a bit that I usually buy. Not needed stuff but DH's wants. Went to lunch at a mediocre and over priced Mexican restaurant. Won't go there again. But ice cream after almost made up for it! Not sure if I will do anything else today.
  3. I think it is one of the symptoms of Cushing's disease. And I agree about life spans, but if my schnauzers had longer life spans, I wouldn't have met Peanut Butter. Raining here now. Hopefully over by 9. Then will walk and walk dogs. Take ebay photos. Re-pack GHB Purge one or two junk drawers. Deliver some food to an older friend. Bible study this evening Sometimes, I make myself tired looking at what all I do in a day. @Becca_Anne, I hope your workload gets straightened out soon!
  4. I was going to have my jeep detailed tomorrow. Big rain and storms tomorrow, so will do it next week. Must be the season. Mine hasn't been done since 2015.
  5. Walked first. Good thing to get done. Didn't sleep much. Dropped off some leftover s'mores bars at mechanics. Cars are there so much, they are like family. Made Smashed garlic, parmesan, bacon honey potatoes. I added the bacon bits and honey! Going out to grill venison, hot dogs and burgers in a few minutes. Going to prayer meeting tonight at 6:30. @Mt Rider, I'm so glad you have a good therapist! And Peanut Butter's legs have stopped shaking almost completely! That is a great first step!
  6. Good morning! Had a busy few days and only on here to read. Little Peanut Butter isn't improving with just milk thistle, so will start treating her for Cushing's today-flax seed, melatonin and coconut oil. We will see if that helps. She is still happy, so not ready to put her down. Made coleslaw and s'more bars yesterday. They will go to a cookout I am going to today. I'll walk first and then dehydrate some sweet potato slices for dog treats. Later, I want to thinly slice a venison roast and marinate it overnight to grill tomorrow on skewers. Cookout at 3 and then rest. @Littlesister, so far I have a smart meter but a low tech thermostat. Can't hook to wifi with it and they keep offering free smart thermostats, but I am not interested. I set mine on and off manually and that is how I want it. My bill has not gone up with the new meter.
  7. @kappydell, I bought a pair of berry picking gloves for my blackberries. They are a thicker rubber? glove and now I am much faster and not torn up.
  8. I'm doing a walking video this morning and battening down the hatches. Big rain and storms starting shortly. Here is the Chicken and dumpling casserole recipe for anyone interested. It turned out great and was very easy to make! http://www.deepsouthdish.com/2009/02/chicken-and-dumpling-bake.html
  9. I can't imagine dealing with all that you have going on right now @Jeepers! You are tough! I'm excited about your blueberry plants @Becca_Anne! And try to get some rest @Littlesister.
  10. Also, made chicken and dumpling casserole, orange cream sherbert and have strawberries dehydrating in the oven.
  11. My teeth were another step of preps along with losing the weight that I did @Becca_Anne. Glad to have that much done! How did I miss your docs solution to sleeping better @Mt_Rider? Can you re-explain, please? You know I am interested! I'm glad your GS got the job @Littlesister. I do hope he doesn't take on too much with a part time job, also. Don't want him to end up losing the main one! Already walked and then made a vegetarian omelet casserole for breakfasts. Will walk dogs soon. Change out a few light bulbs. I have no idea what else except sitting outside with pups. I made rolls yesterday. Called Mayonnaise rolls. The dough was more like cake batter and went in muffin tins, but the taste and consistency is like a perfect dinner roll. I will try to link the recipe and the one for the low carb veggie bake. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/6333255709573490/
  12. I understand that sometimes it all gets to be too much @Littlesister. I have fairly firm boundaries with friends and family, now. I also get that you have to tell somebody every once in a while. God Bless you! Walked first this morning. Took Peanut Butter to the beauty parlor. Went to Aldi and Walmart for a few things since I was in town. Picked up Peanut and stopped at thrift store to donate stuff on the way home. Got other side of mouth (teeth) deep cleaned this afternoon. Spending more time outside with the pups!
  13. We have both cars home and running again! DH has a new starter and I have a horn for the first time since we bought it, about 2015. We also have about $300 less. Oh well. Today is easy for me. Walk. Walk dogs. Make mayonnaise rolls. Make Impossible Caramel pie. I gave up on the salt rising bread until summer. Can't get a starter going. I may try a sourdough next week. Give Peanut Butter a bath as she goes for haircut tomorrow. I prefer bathing her so I know what is used (with her seizure issues). Other than that, just spend time outside with the pups while we are having excellent weather! Hang on @Littlesister. July is coming! I'm so glad that you can help with your mom @Mt_Rider!
  14. Busy morning and I haven't left our little town. Walked first to grocery store, then to drug store, then to health clinic, then back to drug store, then to mechanics. Both of our cars have been there over the weekend. DH's died Saturday and was towed there -starter. Mine has been waiting for a horn to be wired in. It was a lot of walking. DH's car is already home, mine is at mechanic's still. At home, I made low carb salmon patties and stuffed peppers (with venison and cauliflower rice). Did 2 loads of laundry. I'm tired! And the play was very good! We had a blast! Definitely small town production and we sat in hard back chairs. Water was $1 a bottle and they had home baked treats and fresh popcorn at intermission! It was a lot of fun! Sorry you are having issues with the neighbor, @Becca_Anne.
  15. I'm glad that you had a nice, though chilly ride. @Mt_Rider Will have Church this morning. Walk dogs. Going to a play this afternoon with a friend. "Prescription:Murder" It's supposed to be the precursor to Columbo. I haven't been to a play since the mid 90's. Used to love going to plays and the dinner theatre when we lived in FL!
  16. Light day today. Will walk first. Walk dogs. Salt rising starter was a bust. My container says cornmeal but may be cornmeal mix. Can't use that for the starter. I will try again Sunday evening. I'm sure I will come up with some little project today. Maybe purge a junk drawer or something.
  17. I will pray for your homeowner friends, @Mt_Rider. Sounds like a rough vacation or visit! Good morning! Already walked. Cleaned bathrooms. Dusted house. Still have to take ebay photos. I think I will try something I haven't done for awhile. Making salt rising bread. First, I make a starter and then a sponge and then the bread. I think it is a two day ordeal, but my grandma used to make it and I loved it. Will update as I go.
  18. I'm off to the dentist first thing this morning to get half of my teeth deep cleaned. Certainly, not my favorite thing but part of my shtf preps. Will be glad to get it all done. Drop off car to mechanic as he didn't want it yesterday- too busy. Get home and walk. Walk dogs. Look for some documents that I put in a safe place. Hah!
  19. @Littlesister, have you tried pineapple juice? That works best for me.
  20. Yesterday, walked first. Then thrift store for pillow cases for local veterinarian. She puts deceased pets in them instead of handing their bodies to folks when an animal is put to sleep. I wanted to donate some. Went to Aldi and Walmart. Home and walked dogs. Made Chicken Fried Hamburgers for dinner (with cauliflower rice) Today will walk first. Doc appt for re-check next. Take my car to mechanic to get horn hooked up. Put away dog food that was canned on Monday. Rest I hope you have a great trip @Jeepers! Glad you will have some time away and I pray they make some progress while you are gone! I'm thankful that your DH is getting straightened out @Annarchy. It's a big stress when we know things aren't right. And I hope your heating unit is sorted soon, also. I, too, look forward to seeing a Christmas tree in that window @Becca_Anne. It looks made for it! I'm glad you are feeling better and I love organizing @Mt_Rider! Actually, I like getting rid of stuff even more. Hoping that you are feeling a bit better today, too @Littlesister. You do a lot for feeling poorly! Have a good Wednesday, Ladies!
  21. I made 2 lemon pie coffee cakes for Church when I got home Saturday eve. And egg muffins for me. Yesterday was Church. Walked dogs Prepped meat and vegies and made mass quantities of dog food. Cooked it slow overnight. This morning, walked first. Started laundry. First round of pressure canning almost done. Planted parsley and chives in lick tubs. Just have to finish laundry and pressure canning. @Jeepers, Follow the money. I think those making and selling plastic bags are who first said that paper bags were killing all the trees. Just my opinion. I too, keep bags in my car as opposed to taking them into the store. LOL
  22. Rain here, today. Did a walkaerobics video instead of going for walk. I much prefer getting outside, but glad I have an option. Helping a friend today and tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  23. In regards to Peanut. Her liver numbers were off the charts high. She is not diabetic and her kidney function is fine. Doc thinks she has some heart problems besides her murmer. Our course of action (okayed by doc) is to give her low dose of milk thistle and vitamin E. Continue making her food and giving her treats as we have been. Doc says that Peanut eats better than she does. LOL We will just keep loving on her and walking and keeping her happy until she has changes in physical and personality. Thanks for the prayers! Any low cost or natural input is welcome. Already walked this morning. Next, will walk dogs. Need to find a couple of documents. Boil a few eggs. Bake a few bacon wrapped sausages- finish under broiler. Haircut this afternoon. Bible study this evening.
