  1. Walked first this morning. Took DH to copd doc appt--then VA clinic. VA is determining how to get him set up with a midline again, so we can do IV antibiotics at home. I took 2 bags of mulch to Church and did flower beds, this afternoon. Unloaded two cases of jars I got at the thrift store about a week ago. They went in the shed. One of them is an unopened case of wide mouth pints with lids. An older style. I think it feels like I have done more because it's so hot! I got the seeds today, Littlesister. I think I will wait until we are past this heatwave to plant. As well as the tomato cage, they will be up against a 5 ft. chain link fence. I have a friend who planted them a couple of years ago. I will talk to him also. I think I will take the rest of the day off!
  2. Well, this didn't work like I thought it would! I won't be quoting posts. I thought it would just quote what I highlighted. Jeepers, I would let sleeping dogs lie if they said everything appeared negative. Mt Rider, I am glad you have AC that works good! Wish you didn't have to take it out when things cool off. It doesn't have heat also does it? Littlesister, I ordered some of those seeds. I look forward to trying them in lick tub with tomato cages for them to climb! This morning, I will walk first, then walk dogs. I honestly don't have anything else on my list, but I'm sure I can come up with something to do. You all have a good day and stay cool!
  3. I'm so glad you are home, Annarchy! Best place to be this side of heaven! I hope you find the instructions that you are looking for Mt Rider. Also, glad you have AC. Now your weather should cool down, right? I'm glad that your GS is doing well, Littlesister! That's a blessing! Already walked, walked dogs, shoveled out city gutters the workers don't do. Third load of laundry is in the washer. Nothing else planned. Was up at 4:45.
  4. 4.5 hours sleep. Up at 5 for fellow finishing laying radiant barrier in attic. French toast bake is in oven. Then pick up my friend and take her and French toast to Church. Early afternoon, another friend will pick me up and going to a play. Assassins the musical. Small town production and it gives the local kids something positive to do in their spare time. So relaxing some this afternoon! Tuesday and Saturday are the only days I don't need to get up early this coming week, so hoping for extra rest then! I'm so glad that your MS is coming under control, Mt Rider! That has to be a huge relief! Try to get a little rest Becca Anne and Littlesister! Wish we were all hanging out with Jeepers and fam at the pool!
  5. Walked first this morning. Walked dogs. Mopped entire Church fellowship hall and bathrooms. It's a lot bigger than I thought. Still need to cook a package of bacon to put in Stuffed French Toast in the morning for Church. Will get up at 5 to make it and let it sit for awhile before baking. Young man was here this morning to put down radiant barrier in attic but it got hot fast. He started at 7 and we told him to go home at 10:30. He will be here at 5 so no need to set my alarm. Becca Anne, I'm glad it was just a routine visit for you. I keep about 6-8 gallons of water by my washer in vinegar bottles, Annarchy. A leftover habit from living in hurricane country, I guess.
  6. Happy Happy Birthday, Littlesister!!! I hope you have a great day!!!
  7. I would have gotten more sleep, except the electric was on for 2.5 hours in the middle of the night. Maintenance. Sometimes it is hard to win.
  8. Already walked. Helping friend in a bit. Stop at clinic for copies of labs and then Post office to mail something for great granddaughter. Pruning hedge and roses this afternoon. Cool off! Jeepers, I'm praying for relief from water issues for you! That was a deluge on your car! And you, too @Mt_Rider! We are supposed to get some rain tomorrow and Sunday. We will see. 98 for high here, today! I hope you all stay cool enough @Annarchy! The weather is all over the place, lately! @Becca_Anne, I'm sorry about your car door, but really want to know how your doc appointment went!
  9. Up at 4 this morning. Why? Don't know. Will walk first. Walk dogs. Clean bathrooms and sweep at Church. Bible study tonight. Please quit saying Rats. LOL https://www.pinterest.com/pin/558727897536590322/ I used coconut oil and 1/2 tsp of maple flavoring instead of 1 tsp of vanilla. Turned out great!
  10. I know they have serious mosquito control protocols down there!
  11. Will walk first, this morning. Dehydrate sweet potato slices for dogs. Walk dogs. Doc appt at 1230. No plan for later today! My little clinic refers tests to the small hospital? next to them. I have gone with what they said twice and was triple billed each time even though I had the receipts printed and copies sent. I don't need that stress and the urologist I called would repeat the tests anyway. I'd rather have it done once and correctly. DH just lost his dad a few minutes ago. There was family with him and he didn't linger or suffer long. That was a blessing!
  12. @Littlesister, no pain at all so far. I have doc appointment tomorrow and will see what they have to say. This is how little I trust doctors-- I called the urologist office I want to go to and made sure they take my insurance, before even talking to the doctor.
  13. That looks great, Dee! A friend gave me several bags of dates she received in food boxes. Today or soon, I will make some date muffins!
  14. Mine are (or were) calcium oxalate. There is a list of foods and drink that I avoid. No low carb or keto allowed for me. I haven't had a problem for about 15 years. And I eat better now than I did, so not sure of the why. Thanks for the prayers! I was afraid that might happen. Went to clinic first thing this morning to find out my appt. is tomorrow. Sigh Made a big omelet for breakfast. Walked. About to walk dogs. Have second load of laundry going. Will spray for weeds in back yard. Maybe make date muffins. (out of dates, not for a date. Wait) Can't seem to logically finish this thought. LOL
  15. Up at 3 am. Sigh Started salt rising bread again last night and actually got it to foam. Just put it in the oven. Church will be next. Walk dogs if it isn't raining. Visit BIL. Just found out he broke 3 ribs about a week ago and may be getting pneumonia again. Haven't heard from FIL with hospice today. Will make stuffed chicken breasts when we get home. That's all. I'm dizzy and nauseas which are 2 big signs to me that my stone may move soon.
  16. Not much sleep last night, but will walk in a few minutes. About the only thing on a list for today is to give one pup a bath. With my lack of sleep, that may be it. Or maybe attempt to start the bread that I keep putting off. I always have dizzy spells when a stone is getting ready to move. Not fun! What was his reaction to Flowmax? I was going to ask for that Monday at my doc appt., but didn't know about side effects. I didn't get shingles until after I had the shot. I think it was Varivax. It was the first one they came out with. I'm glad you had some wins overall! Tiny wins are fine for me!
  17. Already walked. Have a 3 hour obligation this morning. Stop at Church and check to see if typewriter works. Home to start bread to make tomorrow. DH's dad is home on hospice. They give him one or two weeks.
  18. Trazadone did that to me. Doc said take one or two. I can take one, not two. Ambergris, I am looking forward to puppy pics!
  19. I woke up at 4 this morning. Will walk when it gets light. Then walk dogs. Go to pick up sputum cup for DH and then hit Aldi. My friend that goes with me wants to take me for a belated Birthday lunch. Bible study tonight and maybe start the bread that didn't get done yesterday because of today's plan changes. DH's dad is going home with Hospice today. Not doing well- aspirating, has feeding tube in stomach. DH doesn't think he can travel to FL even if it is arranged and he isn't driving. We will see. Kappy, I'm glad your second surgery is done and I will pray for your hand therapy. Glad you got a new freezer Annarchy! And have your back up. Will you keep jugs of frozen water in it? I'm happy you still have ducks Mt Rider! I agree about everything happening at once Littlesister.
  20. Walked first. Got some paperwork together for Church stuff. Re-packed DH's car after detail was done--and returned spray bottle to detail fellow. He left it in car. Looked at security cameras on ebay. Cleaned baths and dusted house. Not sure what else is on the menu for today. I might start a salt rising bread as I now have a heating pad that will stay on and fresh ground cornmeal. My kidney stone only causes bleeding at night and still no pain. I've had this happen before, so I'm not jumping to call the doc. Mine take lots of patience, but when I start to have pain, I will let them know! Becca Anne, I love eating out of the garden, too. Lots of tomatoes and jalapenos right now! Congratulations on being recognized at work! Jeepers, I dislike BOA also. I have a card and use it once every 2 years when they threaten to close the account (and then pay it off immediately). I've had it since '98, so it's good for credit. Praying for your gs. Littlesister!
  21. Up too early, again. Will walk first. Take DH's car to be detailed for his Birthday. Walk dogs. Find and plant snap bean seeds. Call handyman for a couple of projects that we can't do alone. Hope that's it. 4.5 hours sleep. Your new therapist sounds great, Mt Rider! It's wonderful to reclaim any health, eh? Jeepers, your doc sounds like a bad one. I hope you get what needs done and get moved! I will be searching for the bean seeds soon, Becca Anne. I may plant a couple more tomatoes, too. NO MORE jalapenos! They do too well. LOL I hope your GS's kidney stone passes soon! Not sure they ever pass painlessly. During the day- no blood. Overnight- blood. No pain though, so it isn't moving anywhere. I passed one several years ago that was 7mm. It took a year and a half to pass. There were months that it didn't move and then it would. It can be a process for me.
  22. Will walk first. Clean stuff out of DH's car to get it detailed. Already have laundry going. Already put dog food away. Will plant snap beans. Maybe ebay photos. Weed flower bed at Church? Probably get pushed off to tomorrow. And am peeing red, so I have a kidney stone somewhere. The stone is not moving since I am not in pain. Haven't had one in several years.
  23. I'm from Manatee County and lived in the city of Sarasota. They have always been very proactive about mosquito control. Even back in the 60's. I hope it doesn't become widespread!
