ndbeckner1
I have a back yard full of dandy lions. While most people would be "AHHH call the landscaper", I am , however, reminded that their are beneficial things to this little yellow flower. What are these beneficial things, and how can I store them? I figure if anyone knew it would be you guys. Thanks Diane Link to comment

Cat
landscaper??? That's a yard full 'o FOOD!!!! The best part is that you know your yard hasn't been sprayed with anything dangerous, so it's the safest place to "forage" and try new things with the plants. You can use everything from the small leaves, to the blossoms, to the roots! Good info and recipes: http://mrssurvival.com/forums/index.php?sh...mp;hl=dandelion Try a search with "dandelion" here... you'll find everything you ever wanted to know about the lowly 'lil plant! (And RECIPES!! ) Link to comment

Leah
Please keep in mind, that dandelions and milkweed can be dangerous for those who are sensitive to latex. That milky sap is a type of latex. I have a post down in Homemade Memories about using them to make rubber. Link to comment
Mother
Thanks for thinking of posting that here Leah. As I said in the other thread. I had not thought of that of dandelion sap. Good job. You saved me a lot of problems I'm sure. Link to comment
PoGo
I once made dandelion jelly. Separating all the yellow petals from the green parts, and then washing them, was a pain in the neck. It was good jelly though. Link to comment
