  2. They look fascinating, but I can't get even *one* for free this morning.
  3. Time AND money! Excellent advice!
  4. If you're out of electricity, you're out of water. No toilet flushes. No drinking water. So think ahead. We have a pond that, if it's not completely iced over in the wintertime, provides us with water to flush the toilet. We just don't "flush" until somebody does ummm... #2. Or if it starts to smell pretty strong. Just dump it down into the bowl until it goes out, so the pipes from the back tank to the bowl don't accidentally get clogged with anything accidentally dumped from the pond water. Otherwise I run water in the tub if I feel we could lose power. And I keep drinking water stored. I used to get it from Mom's house in several-gallon water containers, but haven't for a long time now. I guess I could get it from my brother.

    Oh Snap

Yeah, I've been finding stink bugs, too. NOT fun.
  7. Ummmm, Jeepers? Nobody here thinks that you are reading each and every one of those books before you post the link. I know *I* sure don't. And I don't read the books I post links to. I'd never have time to post them if I did. You've been careful to post a disclaimer about content. And we're "big girls and boys". We understand the internet. We understand not everyone talks and thinks like we do. Please don't take somebody else's poor judgement and lack of writing skills (my only rational for unloading the "F-bomb" in a book offered anywhere) onto your own shoulders. We understand these aren't your books. We appreciate your efforts. We love you.
  8. hmmmm, that sounds suspiciously like a challenge....
  9. Tee-hee... Yes, I thought of that, but I've got waaaaaay too much to do at the moment.
  10. Yeah, sure you miss us. Hey everybody else NOT there - Ya think they're talking about us?????????

    Oh Snap

PB = BP = blood pressure? I hope things continue to improve. Good score on the table! DH is bugging me about getting the traps out again. I found one dead mouse in a trap downstairs that I had left out, so he's afraid they're coming in again. He got on the roof and re-sealed some vents that obviously had been invaded - there were nuts already stored just inside them.
  12. OH, yeah... I'm pretty sure my kids could do this with a sufficiently tearful face...

  19. I've been saving the links to ebooks in an "Ebooks wish list" I created. So I'll remember interesting ones that aren't free at the moment. Once in a while when I look at them, I find one or more that are free, so I get them. Another thing I've found is that sometimes if you click on the author's link in Amazon, that author has other ebooks also free *at that time*.
